Who we are
Six decades of craft in animal nutrition.
Folap, S.A. de C.V. was founded in 1966 as Forrajera La Piedad to supply local hog farmers. We opened commercial sales in the 1980s and today we are present in Michoacán, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Colima, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes and the State of Mexico.

1966
Forrajera La Piedad is born
Thanks to the vision of several livestock producers, including the founder of Grupo Kasto, the company is founded to produce quality balanced feed for local hog farmers.
80s
We open commercial sales
In the 1980s we opened commercial sales, and Folapsa feed began reaching producers across the region through a distributor network.
2016
50th anniversary
On June 16 we celebrated half a century with more than 70 team members. Board chairman Luis Manuel Saldaña recognized everyone behind five decades of achievement, and we introduced our new portfolio look.
2026
60 years, and counting
Six decades later we are still in La Piedad, with an in-house laboratory, on-farm technical support and commercial presence in seven states.

Everything goes through our plant in La Piedad, Michoacán, and our laboratory.
1Inspected raw materials
Grain and ingredients are analyzed and fumigated before entering production.
2Formulation and mixing
Each formula is dosed and mixed according to species and production stage.
3Process control
The process is monitored from the control room to keep every batch consistent.
4Bagging and warehouse
Feed is bagged, labeled by line and stored in our warehouse.
5Shipping to the network
We ship in bags or in bulk to our distributors and farms across the region.

Where can I buy Folapsa feed?
From any of our distributors in Michoacán, Jalisco, Colima, Zacatecas and the State of Mexico (see the map in the Distributors section) or directly from our sales team in La Piedad, Michoacán.
Which species do you make feed for?
Swine (Folechón pre-starters and the Select, Premium and Clásico lines), cattle, poultry (including gamecocks), sheep, horses and rabbits.
Do you offer technical support?
Yes. Our veterinarians provide on-farm support (sow pregnancy diagnosis, backfat measurement, growth curves and clinical advice), and we design nutrition plans adapted to each farm.
How do you guarantee feed quality?
We have our own laboratory (proximate and bacteriological analysis and microscopy), we fumigate raw materials, and we comply with Good Manufacturing Practice standards NOM-012-ZOO-1993 and NOM-025-ZOO-1995.
